Questions parents ask us most
Who do I call with a question?
Our preschool office is open 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. on weekdays. Call (727) 799-8467 — voicemail is checked regularly.
What supplies does my child need?
Skycrest provides the classroom learning materials your child will use each day. Families are asked to send a labeled backpack, water bottle, small blanket, and pillow for rest time. Children enrolled in K1 and K2 should also bring diapers and wipes as needed. Please label all personal belongings with your child's first and last name so they can be easily identified.
Do I need to pack snacks and lunch?
Yes. Please send your child with a healthy lunch, snacks, and a labeled water bottle each day. Skycrest does not provide meals or snacks, allowing families to pack foods that best meet their child's preferences and dietary needs.
Is Skycrest a peanut-free campus?
No. Families may pack foods containing peanuts or other nuts for their own child. If a child in a classroom has a documented food allergy, we will work closely with families to help provide a safe environment and communicate any necessary accommodations.
Are you open year-round?
Yes. Our K1, K2, and K3 programs welcome children throughout the year. K4 is our summer program for children entering VPK in the fall, followed by our school-year VPK program.
How will I know what my child did all day?
Teachers share photos and updates throughout the day through the Brightwheel app, so you can feel connected even when you're apart.
It's my child's first day and I'm nervous — what if he cries at drop-off?
That's completely normal! Loving consistency is key — keep your goodbye brief and reassuring. You're always welcome to call and check in, and you can message your child's teacher directly through Brightwheel.
What if my child wakes up sick?
Please keep your child home and let the office know. Children may return once they've been fever- and symptom-free for 24 hours.
Can I volunteer in my child's classroom?
We'd love that! Just let your child's teacher know and watch for volunteer sign-up sheets throughout the year.
How we communicate with your family
Skycrest uses the Brightwheel app for daily photos, updates, and tuition payments, so you always know how your child's day is going.
Questions in the meantime? Call the preschool office at (727) 799-8467. Office hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., weekdays.
